Peace is Possible

I summon thee O’ Peace, Thou a soother to restless mind, My land seek thee we plea Come now and subtle this tide; Let thy hands teach us love and to be kind; Hear O’ Africa and be wise, My clansmen be slow to anger and war, Be ethereal and appeases thy strife, Thy Children are hungry, dying and worn, Thy land is afflicted, ill and poor… O’ my countrymen peace is possible, Let all battle cries end and terror cease, Farmers, herdsmen and miners.. Peace is workable Unity, Love and progress.. We should cleave Let the world embrace and know peace Shed away garments of hatred and beef, Stop the power plots and be rich, Bury thy hatchets and in progress we live; Religion and ethnicity is our noble niche, Brotherhood transcends sovereignty as JCI preach I summon thee O’ Peace, Thou has been a stranger for so long, Come to us like heavenly breeze, Heal and stay to amend all wrongs; Thou the sweetest of all songs. I Reconcile

I reconcile Before I turn to dust, Before my sanity turn grey and lost; Here I stand to reconcile with Jah; By the bank of river Euphrates afar, Where my reflection recount the deeds, Of those years I planted few seeds; Yesteryears wantonly on lofty heights Immersed in my imaginary ecstasy rites; I am a year today as before; Numeral birthday wishes I devour'd I reconcile with you my shadow; Speak the truth, as I go beyond the meadow, Before my flesh goes beyond the bar; I would save the world best way I can, I reconcile within me for inner peace, Now a year older, I seek eternal bliss... I counted my guilt and scars, So less than my truths and stars Those tears that freely flow like rivers, Soaked more than once like a fever; I break free from shackles and the lots, A new day beckons, I resist not, I anoint my flesh to heed only to heaven wish, From the parchment of truth I teach..
